Holiday Wrap-Up

Thought I would post a few pictures and videos from our Christmas to New Years break. We are happy to be around so much family now and that they could come visit us over the past 1 1/2 weeks.

The three older kids had lots of fun parties and field trips the last few days of school. Here is a picture of Seth that last day.

Then they built a Gingerbread House together. We got a kit and I just helped actually put the frosting on the edges and make the house. Then they did all the decorating using old Halloween candy (thank you friends for that idea!). Car made of Laffy Taffy, snowball fight, slide, pathway, etc. We kept the house all the way until New Year's Eve and let them smash it with hammers outside.

Christmas Eve - Dinner, Christmas Songs (so nice to have both Rhianna and Rand able to play for us), Nativity, & Pajamas

Christmas Day - Stockings, Eggs & biscuits, opening presents, playing, Google Hangouts - It was really great that the kids could play and enjoy their gifts and have a good day. It felt like they are also getting old enough to also appreciate why we celebrate and remember Christ.

New Years Eve - We ate dinner at about 5pm. The Neumillers sent us a package with something to open every hour from 6pm to midnight. It makes the night fun...Elf stories, crafts, games, yearly musings, hot chocolate, snacks, and we also Skyped with them - good to see and talk with friends. We put the 2 baby girls to bed around 8pm. Grandma and Grandpa headed off to bed, then Krista a little early. Everything went smoothly until about 11:30 when tiredness was causing some fighting....so we had the kids come sit on the couch. We turned on the TV and had on the music that would then be a countdown....and Seth and Andrew fell asleep - SOUND asleep. We could not wake them. We cheered for New Years and all quickly went to bed at 12:05. Seth is still convinced I was mean and made him go to bed before midnight...

We are so grateful for Christmas time - the break, the fun, and the time to be better and think of Jesus - Have a great New Year!!

Enjoyed Rhianna's Flute playing and both her and Rand's piano playing. Very nice.
