A Gift for You!

Rhianna saw this idea on her old babysitter Megan's blog, and she wanted to get a gift. So we are posting this challenge here for our friends and family. Rhianna will be the one making things.

The first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by me (Rhianna)! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you.

3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)

4- You have no clue what it's going to be.It may be a story. It may be a joke book, autographed picture of myself, handmade bag, or a little invention of my own! I may create you a blog header or paint something for you with my food. (That would be scary). I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?

5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Believe me... it may blow your mind!

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right? So, let's play!

Rhianna's New Shoes

On Wednesday we went shoe shopping. I got some nice shoes. I wore them to church today.
They are Black. they are size thirteen. My teacher really liked them. And the best part about
them is..........They are high heels!

(PS - A Little Note From Mom - After we had finally found Rhianna shoes on Wednesday, I discovered that Rand had a hole in his tennis shoes and needed new ones. So Steve took him out on Friday and he got new shoes too. Here are the two kids together with new shoes on - Rhianna size 13, Rand size 12 1/2)

Dinosaur Day

Rand and I have been reading books and watching movies and learning a little about dinosaurs. So yesterday we went as a family to the T-Rex Museum. It is a very small building with a few hands on paleontology type things to do. Kind of pricey but we had fun. First they took us around one little room and told us about different prehistoric creatures and let the kids touch fossils of those creatures (from trilobites to teeth to dino doo and vomit). They had a movie about dinosaurs, including popcorn while they watched, but the kids lost interest after a while. So we got to...

dig in sand for fossils

pan for gold and other treasures

and then do a very light dusting for stones and some hard hammering to break open geodes. They gave us some shale to take home and we will use a peanut butter knife or something to break them open later and see if they have fossils inside.

We then finished our day out with lunch at McDonald's, not the dinosaur one as Rand requested but still one with a playplace. Seth is getting into climbing (luckily he couldn't really climb in this one) but was very good at bringing me bits of other kids' food that he found. Rhianna wanted to keep things going and so then we even drew pictures of some of their treasures and rocks and stuff when we got home. It was a really fun Saturday.
